DIY Series is a yearly event series for students at Cal State LA, providing a space to socialize, create, and destress. This specific series included an Earth Day celebration, which played a role in the development of the design. The concept of this design focused on creativity, community, and leisure. To emphasize these core values, the campaign visuals implement elements of human creation and trendy design for a student audience.




For this marketing campaign, the event was promoted around campus and in online spaces. The marketing materials included 4.25" x 5.5" postcards, 24" x 36" A-frames, and social media posts.
The scrapbook-style design follows trends online of digital journaling and appeals to a younger audience. The color palette and imagery styles applied to the design allude to the Earth Day celebration, incorporating elements such as dried flowers, repurposed paper scraps, and warm greens and pinks.
